Yellowstone July 2010

Commenting on nature is like touching up the Mona Lisa.

Being on the ground seeing, hearing and smelling these thermals was to immerse in the experience. Therefore I am surprised when I see new things in each image that I failed to experience in the moment.

This week I imagine the coming snows of Wyoming cast across the Yellowstone landscape adding dimension to the alien landscape.

Select a favorite nature photo to step into where you can lose your cares and consider the broader elements of life when the opportunity for the real experience is a little to far.

Should I step into a picture, it won't be thermals. Too close to damnation, metaphorically, of course.
